Where is the joy?

My lips will shout for joy when I sing praise to you— I whom you have delivered.
– Psalm 71:23 (NIV 2010)

Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth,
burst into jubilant song with music;
make music to the LORD with the harp,
with the harp and the sound of singing,
with trumpets and the blast of the ram’s horn—
shout for joy before the LORD, the King.
– Psalm 98 4-6 (NIV 2010)

How come this great joy is so hard to find in todays church? We see plenty of smiling faces, but few with true joy. We were made to delight and take joy in our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ.  As you go throughout this week, give yourself permission to let loose and be joyful in God’s presence. Don’t worry what others may think, simply rejoice in Lord.
