God Is Good

God is good; is a phrase we so often hear and repeat. This is something I often need to remind myself. You see, the enemy tries to cloud our vision, to make us think that God is out to make our lives miserable. Just like in the garden of Eden with Adam and Eve, Satan looks to persuade us that there’s something better than what God has established.

Oftentimes this lying voice of the enemy comes in when we need to exercise faith in a situation. We tend to forget about the exceeding great and precious promises (2 Peter 1:4) and the nature of our God being loving. (1 John 4:8)

What this comes down to is faith, do you believe that God is who he says he is? Remember, “For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.” (1 John 5:3) (emphasis mine). Following God is not burdensome as the enemy so often tries to tell us. God is good and loving, whatever God asks from us is for good. But will you trust Him?

What’s God asking you to surrender to his control today? Time, money, relationships, appearance, sleep, work, your social life? There’s thousands of different things that could be listed, and each one of us are at different points in our lives. But the big question for today is, are you laying your life before Christ as a living sacrifice? (Romans 12:1) Remember, God is a good loving God; do not let the voice of the enemy tell you anything different.

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to [his] purpose.
Romans 8:28

Kramer, another great and true blog. Yes, God is good, faithfull, trustworthy, dependable and always with us during good and not-so good times. Life with-out faith in God would be empty and meaningless.and void of the joy that we have when he is totally in our lives. Thanks for your encouragement thru your “Real Living For Christ” blogs.
